HAIKU (Page 1)

strong winds-
the ragdoll falls
in its own lap

two notes
the cuckoo’s countless songs
my deadline passes

rusty sunset
the beep loud, pauseless; it’s time
to catch the westbound

[‘to catch the westbound’ means to die.]

mirror lake, leaf falls
the sky kisses the shore
in ripples

silver moon dripping
divine straits
upon dark seas

sudden rain
no more boundaries
my map complete

home fires burning
the hide and seek
of shadows

tinted glasses-
the seeing see little

break-up letter
words incomplete
and so am I

homesick fish-
I put some salt
in her bowl

In mummy’s bed
no salt needed
in the corners
